Just What Is Cash Gifting?

Published by Rob Sevilla on December 14th, 2011 - in Affiliate Program - Cash Gifting

Legitimate question, cash gifting is a way of doing business by joining what is called a cash gifting club, and receiving cash gifts as payments for being in the club, plus it is tax deductible, and you also do not have to pay any taxes on it. Want to know why, well just check out I.R.S. Tax Code: Title 26, Sections 2501 – 2504, and 2511. This explains how it is completely legal to gift someone a sum up to $12,000 per year and it is not considered income, but a “gift.” You see you have the constitutional right to gift money to who ever you want to, and the government can not touch a penny of it. These type of transactions have been going on for hundreds of years. People from all walks of life do it, from churches, to regular people like you and me. Cash Gifting With The IRS Legal?

Published by Rob Sevilla on July 22nd, 2011 - in Affiliate Program - Cash Gifting

Donations of money have become a very popular activity online these days. Although the concept of helping your fellow man is not new, the business surrounding this has become quite revolutionary. With the help of the Internet, this business is no longer secret or done in late night meetings behind closed doors. It has become something open with plenty of up front advertising. In this day and age you will see a lot of talk about whether this type of financial transaction is legal.

According to the Internal Revenue Service cash gifting is legal. According to IRS Publication 950, a gift is considered any property or money  given without expecting to receive anything in return. Above all, the gifts given are taxable with the exception of charities, political organizations, or for the spouse. There are however additional annual exclusions that allow anyone to give a gift without having to pay taxes on it. Since 2007, the annual exclusion of $ 12,000 and an increase of more than $ 13,000 this year.

So anyone can give up to $13,000 this year to any individual. With no prospect of anything in return, this is considered legal in the eyes of the federal government. Thus cash gifting is legal in the eyes of the I.R.S. However, you must file that you have been given the money. But all in all it is legal to give. It is important to take into account the person receiving the gift. Each gift someone receives is considered income, and therefore suitable to be taxed.

Therefore if you do decide to take part in the cash gifting activity, although legal in the eyes of the federal government, it can quickly become illegal for you if you do not pay your taxes.
