Blogging Tips For Newbies

Blogging For DollarsAre you a newbie to Blogging and looking for some tips?  Well, you’ve come to the right place.  Blogging has become the premier way to promote products and services online.  Whether it’s a direct sales company, mlm, cash gifting program, or some affiliate marketing program, Blogging can generate dollars in your bank account daily.  When considering setting up a blog, you must be aware of a few things.

Blogging Tips For Newbies

1. Research your niche market – Doing your research is paramount to your success in marketing your blog.  If you are wanting to break into the affiliate marketing arena, then make sure you research everything you can about being a successful affiliate marketing.  There are many expert blogs out there that provide proven marketing tips and techniques that will contribute to both your short term and long term success.  Many people fail because they lack the necessary training and foundation that is needed to be successful.  They simply think because they’ve set up a blog, and posted a few articles that leads will start coming in.  Unfortunately this is not the case.  It takes doing proper research for both your nich market and keywords to generate success online.  Here is a FREE affiliate marketing guide that will help get you started.

2. SEO Your Blog – I can’t stress this tip enough.  Learning how to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) your blog puts it into overdrive.  There are various plugins (for wordpress) and tweaks that makes all the difference in your blog ranking high in the search engines.  If you don’t have the time do research and do your own SEO, then hire an expert.  I made the grave mistake early on in my internet marketing journey not to focus on paid advertising strategies, and not really pay attention to SEO.  This was a huge mistake on my part, and very costly.

3.  Be Committed & Disciplined – Blogging can be very prosperous, but also very overwhelming and frustrating.  It can cause you to want to quit, and unfortunately that’s what most people do.  They start out excited, and within 90 days they are done.  Set realistic short term and long term goals for yourself.  Be persistent, and don’t give up!  Surround yourself with positive influnces and stay inspired.  Be committed to provide fresh and unique content to your reader.  Find ways to seperate yourself from the competition.

These are just 3 blogging tips that a newbie should consider when starting a blog.  Research, SEO, and your work ethic will make all difference in you being successful online.  Stay tuned for some more blogging tips, or simple my affiliate marketing tipswebsite.

The Correct Way to Write A Blog Article

As you can see guys I’m basically doing a stint on proper blogging techniques, and the dos and don’ts of this type of web promotion, and marketing. Lets begin with the real basic stuff, actually writing an article. Now I know a lot of you probably just made a big fat groan on this one. Well to tell you the truth I do not really like writing myself, however when you get the basics down it isn’t that really tough. Plus you must realize that not every post has to be some earth shattering knowledge that will change lives forever, it could be something as simple as a “tip of the day” type post. Anyways, let me break down the basic elements of the proper article blog post.

Standard Blog Post Elements:
1. H1 Tag
2. Permalink
3. Image
4. H2 Tag
5. H3 Tag
6. Underlined
7. Bolded
8. Italicized
9. Linked back to your main blog url like makemoneyonlinewithrob.com
10. Linked back to your post

Always place you main keyword in your H1 or title tags / keywords. This is extremely important. It is the first thing Google and the other search engines will look at when classifying your post. Permalinks, if you want it to look clean, and simply state the title of the post, then select custom and write /%postname%. This will make your post look like this http://www.makemoneyonlinewithrob.com/keywords phrasing. So people know instantly what the post is about. Image, people are extremely visual, always include a picture and make sure it has a link back to your website. H2 – H3 Tags can be placed within the post itself, or in the code of your website. I suggest simply placing them within the post, make them good action / buyer oriented keywords. Of course underline, bold and italicize them as well to catch the readers eye. Make them a bright blue to let the reader know that it is a link to be checked out.

Now the last two make one of your clickable links refer back to your blog to help drive some traffic there. Also make the other links send your potential leads to your affiliate products. This way you cover both basis. Now no matter what you write about make sure it has this basic structure. Also there is not need to write a Ph.D thesis here. Keep your blog posts around 350 – 400 words. People tend to lose interest and get bored if you do not get straight to the point within 3 to 4 paragraphs. Follow these simple rules and you will create a smooth nice looking blog that people will want to follow every week.

5 Top Rated Blog Commenting Tips

Published by Rob Sevilla on October 26th, 2011 - in Advertising - Blogging Tactics

Links are the medium of exchange for SEO and Internet marketing. The more quality one-way links  that are directed towards it, the better it looks in the eyes of  search engines like Google, and Yahoo. Every site has a certain amount of established trust with the search engines and when one site links to another, it passes along a bit of that trust in the form of “link juice.” The more links a site has  determines the amount of  link juice it contains. This alerts the search engines that this is a valuable and useful site (the idea being that better quality site will have more incoming links as they are more frequently referenced).

A link building campaign is defined as the process of building up the number of inbound links your site has. There are many places that one is able to get a link, but a very popular and useful link source is through commenting on blogs.  In order to get the most out of your blog commenting, here are 5 top rated blog commenting tips.

1. Use your real name when possible

Sometimes bigger companies don’t want to use an actual person’s name when blog commenting, in case that person leaves or is fired from the company. But you should strive to comment using a real name whenever possible. This breeds trust with the blog owner and the blog’s community. Hiding behind a business name can be frowned upon, as you are less accountable for your comments.

2. Three sentence minimum should be your goal

Blog commenting is not only useful for link building, but it is also a great way to brand yourself and establish your company/business as an industry expert. Setting a 3 sentence minimum for your comments will help you make sure you are actually leaving a valid comment. Blog owners can spot a stock comment(Ex: Great post! Very informative. Thanks so much for sharing!)a mile away.

3. DUH!! Actually read the post

This may seem like “well, duh” thing to say, but you’d be amazed to find out the percentages of people who just leave a comment without actually reading the post. Usually they just read the first paragraph and rehash what the author said. You want to know that what you are saying is relevant to the post, and add value to it. Posting an unrelated comment discredits yours authority and undermines your brand building. If it’s an exceptionally long post, then at least skim the whole thing, looking for the high lights.

4. Respond to other comments

Writing response comments is a great way to stir up a conversation with the blog’s other readers. Getting involved with the blog’s community can help you develop new connections and professional relationships. You never know who you might meet on a popular industry blog. Other industry professionals and potential clients tend to turn to the same thought leaders for the latest news and trends.

5. Early Comments get the worm

Most blog posts go live in the morning, so they have all day to be read and indexed by the search engines. You want to be one of the first people to comment on a blog post, because it helps with your brand recognition.  Other readers may scroll through the first few comments, but few will sift through all 102 of them. If you are at the bottom, you got the link but little else of value.
