Now this applies to if your writing articles for your blog. On your blog your posts should have that somewhat personal touch. Write the article like your having a conversation with your friends. Trust me this tactic works like a charm. I call it “conversational writing” myself, although I’m sure some English teacher would have a fancier name for it. When your easy going, honest and relaxed so will your audience be. Sales are all about trust online. If you have not figured that out then get with it. Seriously, why do you think social networking, as known as Web 2.0, took off so much in the last part of the 2000’s? It is because people want to get to know who they do business with, and buy products from. Now I stated this before but it bears repeating. Just be friendly, it does not mean you invite them over to dinner, unless your on a dating website.
Now back to article writing. Make sure your title grabs their attention. Hopefully, you “know” your audience. It is kind of like being an actor I suppose. Pretend you are one of them, and want to have your problem solved. What would you want to hear from the expert or person selling the product your looking for? Go with your gut instinct. Make sure you assure them of your expertise and give some facts, but not everything in the article. As they say in just about any business, always leave them wanting more. When you write in this style they will trust you, and want to sign up on your squeeze page or just go ahead and buy your product. If your selling something and have had results, make a video like the one to my right. Here I was showing those of you interested in cash gifting all the money I made in just one day. It is just me in a hat, no fancy cars, or $2,000 silk suit. Just me in my living room counting money.
So keep all of this in mind when writing in your blog. Write like your talking to your friends, of course leave out the cuss words if you talk like that. We do not want to get to personal and offend anybody. Impart good information that solves a problem of the customer, but does not tell everything. Keep it to around 400 – 500 words, quick and easy to read, but not so long that have to get a bag of potato chips to eat while they finish reading it. Also stick in some keywords, around one or two for each paragraph to use as anchor texts. If you keep all this in mind, I promise you your articles will do very well.
